My Journey

I consciously began my quest when I was about 12 years old. I knew there was something more going on here than meets the eye, and I wanted to know what it is and how to feel more connected to it.

As the daughter of an artist, I learned to use my creativity for pure delight and as a way to process my emotions.  I was always deeply connected to nature, and that’s where I found my greatest solace and spiritual inspiration.  Having been raised in the Jewish tradition, I moved through a rebellious stage in my teens that took me into atheism and agnosticism. Eventually, I re-opened myself to spirituality when I was introduced to Eastern philosophies and mindfulness meditation, in the early 80’s.

My spiritual journey has been ever-expanding adventure in consciousness. In 1987, when I hit rock bottom in a destructive romantic relationship, I had a profound visionary meeting with Yeshua (aka Jesus). That experience changed my life and opened me to Yeshua’s modern day teachings, including A Course in Miracles, A Course of Love, and The Way of Mastery.  I’ve also gained insight and inspiration from other non-dual paths, practices, and teachings, including Tibetan Buddhism, and the work of Adyashanti, Eckhart Tolle, Fred Davis, and Rupert Spira.

In my twenties, I was able to heal from depression, through my experiences with expressive art and movement in conjunction with mindfulness practices. Once I realized the effectiveness of these tools, I was drawn to study the field of creative arts and healing more deeply, which led me to study Dance/Movement Therapy at Naropa University. After receiving my Master’s Degree, in 1994, I stayed in Colorado and practiced as a Licensed Professional Counselor and expressive arts facilitator.   I experienced my most gratifying work as a psychotherapist while working with survivors of torture at the Rocky Mountain Survivors Center, in Denver.

In my career, I have been challenged to grow and have been rewarded in many ways. I  have had the opportunity to work with people ages 3 to 93, in a wide variety of therapeutic, educational, and spiritual settings. Throughout my career, I have always been inspired by following the threads that connect psychological healing, creative self-expression, and spiritual growth.

After many years working as a psychotherapist, I was introduced to astrology by a dear friend.  I was skeptical at first, but after two years of listening to his insights on my chart and observing the accuracy of his forecasts for me, I came to see the incredible power of this metaphysical tool.  I felt that doing therapy without astrology was like working blindfolded; there is so much more information available through a person’s chart than what either the client or I can see without it.

Once I realized the power of astrology, I added that into my professional tool kit, in 2002.  I soon became fascinated with understanding the soul’s journey, as revealed in the birth chart. Using techniques from Evolutionary Astrology, which looks at the evolution of the soul, I was able to gain deeper insight into the roots of the obstacles that block people’s healing and growth.  Astrology also helped me understand my clients’ highest potential for embodying their soul’s intentions. While astrology, by itself, is great for providing insight, I noticed that clients made the most progress when I used a combination of astrology and transformational process work.

Sajit GreeneAfter moving to Asheville, NC, I shifted my practice from psychotherapy to coaching.  I developed a unique coaching model that integrates the wisdom of astrology and also draws on many of the skills and tools that I honed in my work as a psychotherapist.  By also sharing spiritual principles and practices with my clients, I help them see beyond the level of the personality and awaken to their True Nature. Drawing from my background in using movement and other expressive arts for healing as well as creating personal rituals of transformation, I recently designed a new format for accelerated work: Soul Liberation  retreats. These personal retreats are individually designed to maximize each client’s potential and have breakthroughs that can affect all areas of their lives.

I now live in Taos, NM, where the big sky, the magical light, and the sacred mountain provide daily inspiration and make my heart and soul sing with joy!  The moment I came to Taos, I was captivated by its special magic.  They call it “The Land of Enchantment” for good reason.  The native people have lived here for thousands of years, and they have kept their spiritual traditions alive.  That cultivation of the sacred bond between humans and nature can be felt very strongly, here.  I believe that’s what has drawn many artists, mystics, and spiritual seekers here over the years.  When I realized the potent energy this place holds for healing, transformation, and spiritual awakening, I knew it was time to bring people here, to work with me in the energy field of Taos.  That’s when the Soul Liberation retreats were born.
